The Street Labourers of Windsor are welcoming the public to their new union hall.
The union represents street workers like buskers, panhandlers and crafters.
Union spokesperson Andrew Nellis says the union and the union hall offer support for people making a living on the street.
"We offer the possibility of solidarity, someone to watch your back, someone to represent your interests on the street," he says.
The Utah Phillips Hall for Hobo Arts is located at 956 Tecumseh Rd. E and is open from Thursday to Sunday. It offers a space for members to meet, have food and drink and prepare their craft.
The union has been operating for two to three years in Windsor but representatives would not provide the size of its membership. Members are asked to pay union dues.
