The St. Clair Catholic District School board is planning ahead as it prepares for the retirement of its Associate Director.
Jim McKenzie is expected to officially announce his retirement plans sometime in the near future, so the board has been grooming Amy Janssens to take over.
She was recently approved to serve as the Executive Superintendent.
"We've been planning for this appointment for quite some time," says Janssens. "We have a philosophy at the school board that succession planning is quite important, especially for a role like this."
Director of Education Dan Parr is expecting a "seamless transition."
