Home James Rides Again

Chatham-Kent's Home James program is back to get holiday partygoers home safely.

The designated driving service starts on November 20th and runs every weekend up to and including New Year's Eve. Patrons can call to have a volunteer drive them home in their own car for free. With that being said, Program Co-ordinator Jodie Hogg says they are still a charitable organization.

"We don't charge people but do accept donations. 100% of those donations are donated back to local youth groups."

Over their first three years Hogg estimates they've raised over $32,000. But, the operation can't survive without volunteers. Hogg says they're looking for around 30-35 drivers who are at least 19-years-old.

"If they have a background check they need to bring it, otherwise we need to get a background check on them. Anyone that wants to come out is guranteed a new experience every night."
