Catholic Board's Turn For Capital Review

The St. Clair Catholic District School Board is adopting policy changes to maintain transparency when planning capital projects.

The changes have been introduced to trustees, all of which are prompted by provincial mandates. The board will now need to get feedback from municipalities about capital planning. Accomodation reviews now need at least two public meetings over five months.

Director of Education Dan Parr says their accomodation process will be similar to the public board's which they saw earlier this month.

"We saw there a model that worked very efficiently. We would expect many aspects of their model that we would use when it comes time to introduce our capital plan to the trustees."

The trustees will mull over the changes and likely vote them through in January.
