Environment Canada senior climatologist David Phillips recommends taking an umbrella tonight, but says the weather won't be as nasty to trick-or-treaters this year.
The agency is calling for an evening temperature of around 9C (48F) with wind of about 20km/hr (12mph). There's a 40% chance Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent will get showers.
"Last year, the high was about 2C (34F). The winds were about 40km/hr (24mph). There was rain and snow," says Phillips. "My gosh, I think kids didn't really go out last year."
The normal low for this time of year is 3C (37F).
