Chatham-Kent police say two men barged into an apartment on Park Ave E. last night and demanded money.
The victim alleges one of the men assaulted him twice before taking $300 in cash from his wallet.
One of the suspects was know to the victim, he was arrested this morning by officers and charged with robbery, forcible confinement, and breach of recognizance.
Police are still trying to identify the other suspect.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
