Dresden Native Cut From UFC

Dresden's Chris “The Menace” Clements has been released from his UFC contract.

The 39-year-old announced the news through social media Friday night.

"Unfortunately I just got notice that I have been released from my UFC contract. I (have) always been proud knowing that I accomplished my goal of making it to the UFC," says Clements in a post on Facebook. "Pretty (crappy) deal getting cut after only one loss though, which I did them a favour by taking a short notice fight and it has left me on the injured list ever since."

Clements fell to Nordine Taleb by unanimous decision during UFC 186 back in April. The fight dropped Clements' record to 12-5-0 and 1 no contest.
