Habitat For Humanity organizers are commemorating World Habitat Day in downtown Chatham.
It's a day to remind the public that not everyone has access to affordable housing around the globe.
Executive Director Nancy McDowell says the group has only been around since 2009, so they're taking it one day at a time.
"We are a young organization, so we're soon to close our second home locally. So we just help one family at a time," she says.
Later this month that home will be handed over to a family in Wallaceburg.
McDowell adds they eventually want to be producing more than one home a year.
