O'Reilly Impaired Case Put Over Again

The NHL's Ryan O'Reilly's impaired driving case has been put over to later this month.

At the London courthouse Thursday morning, the judge set a date of October 22 for the next appearance.

The 24-year-old Buffalo Sabres star and Clinton-area native was arrested on July 9.

Police allege a green Chevrolet pickup truck belonging to O'Reilly crashed into a Lucan Tim Hortons around 4am that day.

Investigators say the man behind the wheel then fled the scene. The truck and driver were located by officers short while later.

O'Reilly was taken to police headquarters and charged with impaired driving and failing to remain at the scene of a crash.

A lawyer has appeared on his behalf each time the case has come up.
