CK Table Back This Weekend

A weekend to think and taste different foods takes place Saturday and Sunday as CK Table is hosting its Rethink Food Weekend.

Co-founder Paul Spence says it starts with on-farm tours, and continues with food tastings with the help of chefs, culinary students with the Fanshawe College program, breweries and food producers.

"Farmers and consumers don't seem to really talk anymore and that seems to be one of the issues with the local food movement, we need each other to understand the lives of the other," Spence says adding the weekend is about bringing food producers together with customers.

There are also celebrations of grains, both as food and beer tasting and the group's signature banquet is Sunday.

The events do require registration which can be done on their website.
