Bright Future For Buxton Homecoming

It's not easy to pin down how many people came out, but this past weekend's 92nd annual Homecoming in North Buxton is going down in the top 10 for co-organizer Shannon Prince.

"I honestly think that people really enjoyed themselves," says Prince, "I just heard so many wonderful comments about each day."

The future of the event also appears to be in good hands as some of the community's younger members are stepping up to help out.

"Buxton's next generation is very involved with the different activities and we in the community are so impressed with the different initiatives that they are coming up with to preserve that history and continue that legacy," says Prince.

The weekend featured a number of events including a cricket demonstration, a civil war re-enactment, and the annual parade.
