Blenheim Native Focused On Raising CIS Profile

A Blenheim native and University of Windsor grad has officially been named CEO of University sports in Canada.

Graham Brown says his top priority is raising the profile of the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS).

"It's how we run, it's how we operate, when we get up everyday we do things professionally," says Brown. "The CIS is a business and it's going to be a bigger business as we move it forward."

He adds that offering full scholarships to student athletes, like the NCAA does in the U.S., isn't a priority.

Brown joins the CIS after 13-years as CEO of Rugby Canada where he's credited with growing the sports reach and financial support across the country.

During his university days Brown was a two-sport athlete, playing football and basketball at Windsor, and is credited with starting the schools rugby program.
