Post Mortem Confirms Windsor Man Drowned At Walker Lake

A post mortem confirms drowning as the cause of death of Windsor man in a canoeing mishap on Walker Lake in Chatsworth Township last week.

It was just after 5:30pm last Thursday afternoon when Grey County Ontario Provincial Police, Grey County EMS and the Chatsworth Fire Department were called to the scene on Veterans Rd. S.

Mahmoud Ghannam, 49, fell into the lake after his canoe capsized.

Police say he was not wearing a life jacket at the time.
