Chatham-Kent police are hosting dozens of motorcycle officers beginning today as they test their riding skills in a four-day event.
Constable Todd Trahan says the Great Lakes Police Motorcycle Training Seminar focuses on rider safety and skill.
"You'll see anywhere from 70 to 100 competitors from all over," he says. "For the first three days they will be practicing patterns that we set out so that the bike can do its maximum turning radius and capabilities so now it's up to the operator of the motorcycle to make it happen."
The event is at the John D Bradley Centre and riding displays are open to the public.
Competition for top overall rider is Saturday.
