Honouring Everyday Heroes

The Erie St. Clair Community Care Access Centre is looking for more local caregivers who go above and beyond the call of duty.

CCAC spokesperson Dave Richie says they're currently accepting nominations from the public for their 3rd annual Heroes in the Home recognition event.

"It can be a PSW or a nurse who's going into the home or the family member or a friend of a loved one who is caring for someone at home," says Richie, adding all of the nominees will be recognized. "For a lot of these people, they're going to work all day and then they're coming home and taking care of their parents, or their sick children... they deserve some recognition."

Nominations are being accepted at www.ThePowerOfCaregiving.ca until October 2nd.
