More Support For Beach Boys Concert

A concert that will raise money for the Chatham-Kent Hospice later this summer is getting some major support from a Chatham-based internet provider.

Product Marketing Manager at TekSavvy Marvin Handsor says the company is giving the Chatham Rotary Club $35,000 to help offset the cost of bringing the Beach Boys to Tecumseh Park in August.

"The hospice isn't necessarily our top cause, but we do recognize that it is greatly needed in Chatham-Kent," says Handsor, who says he plans to show up for the concert. "It's family friendly, and it's a good, fun event for our community."

The proceeds from the Beach Boys concert will help the Rotary Club meet their commitment of donating 100-thousand dollars to the hospice project.
