The founder of Storey Samways Planning says his only disappointment is being unable to continue serving the residents of Chatham-Kent.
This after the company announced it would not renew its planning contract with the municipality, whether they decided to handle those duties in house or not.
Principal Planner Tom Storey says this was the third time in seven years staff have discussed handling planning services themselves. "We have a total lack of trust with senior management, no confidence on what they tell us. It was very difficult for us basically from a health standpoint."
In the end council did decide to move the contracted application process in-house. Storey adds he's confident they'll recover from ending the agreement. "Some people may think we've lost our minds, but we can move forward and re-market ourselves."
Storey Samways' contract with CK ends in April 2016.
