One person is dead following a two-vehicle crash on Hwy. 3 in Kingsville.
The Ontario Provincial Police says on Wednesday around 4pm, a Saturn traveling east on Hwy. 3 just west of Essex County Rd. 31, struck the eastbound shoulder of the highway, over-corrected and struck a westbound Pontiac.
The drivers of both vehicles were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A passenger in the Saturn was killed in the crash. The name of the person killed is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
Police were forced to close Hwy. 3 between Essex County Rd. 31 and Essex County Rd. 34 while officers conducted an investigation. The road was closed for several hours but has since been reopened.
