Volunteers Honoured At Senior Expo

60 nominees received honours from local politicians as part of Chatham-Kent's "Senior Of The Year" award.

Nominee Edwinna Rawlings volunteers with Heart and Stroke, as well as Communities In Bloom. "I just like to try to make a difference, and make my life worthwhile by helping somebody else."

Meanwhile, CK Senior of the Year 2014 Dixie Peters says their work prompts others to get involved as well. "People are so grateful for the support and the educational component they get, they want to give back. That's why they become a volunteer."

Marion Matt, founder of the Bothwell Community Boosters, was the overall winner of the 2015 Senior of the Year Award.
