There's a new collective agreement for workers at the Windsor-Detroit Tunnel, who are represented by Unifor Local 195.
CEO Neal Belitsky says it's a three-year deal. "There were enhancements in terms of pension, wages and vacation time."
Even if the workers had walked off the job, Belitsky says the tunnel would have stayed open. "We had backup plans," he says. "But we're glad we never had to get to that point."
Unifor Local 195 represents 34 full-time and seven part-time toll collectors, traffic control and maintenance workers.
