The Ministry of Transportation says the closure of Hwy. 3 is being pushed a week.
Last week, officials told BlackburnNews.com the road would be closed beginning Monday from County Rd. 34 to County Rd. 18 for construction. Signs were posted along the road with similar information.
Monday, the signs were changed to say the closure wouldn't begin until June 22.
Ministry of Transportation spokesperson Liane Fisher says depending on weather and how preparation work proceeds, they expect a detour to be in place in the next week.
