Despite seeing lower than expected attendance, Chatham-Kent's Heart & Stroke Big Bike Campaign has exceeded expectations.
More than 80 teams took part in a number of rides throughout the end of May, raising almost $106,000.
Program Co-ordinator Katrina Ancheta says that's well past the goal of $102,000. "We were aiming to have about 90 teams, we only got 83. But we were able to exceed what we were expecting in terms of revenue, so there was quality participation."
Ancheta adds some corporate donations are still coming in, so they expect their final totals to be higher.
