Kids could punch their bus ticket to Erieau or Mitchell's Bay for free this summer.
Chatham-Kent Councillor Trevor Thompson plans to ask staff to consider the feasibility of a "Kids Ride Free" policy. Right now adults pay $5 to ride along, and seniors and students are charged $4.50.
Thompson has also made it clear that if staff believe the move is feasible, the rate change would come into effect this summer.
The beach buses make regular trips to Erieau and Mitchell's Bay every Friday to Monday until Labour Day.
