A Dresden native and contractor will make his TV debut on Cottage Life.
Dave Depencier stars in Reno My Reno, that shows him and his team fixing cottages that owners have tried to repair and failed. Depencier says each show will reveal a failed repair by the homeowner that they only have a couple days to fix.
"We usually do a space, sometimes a couple of spaces, depending on what the homeowner has done, how they've kind of screwed it up," says Depencier. "And a lot of times I'm a glutton to my own punishment sometimes because I want the best finish possible so sometimes I bite off a little more than I can chew, but the team pulls together and we end up getting it done on time."
Depencier says the opportunity arose about a year-and-a-half ago after he was given a chance to audition. The production company is based in Ottawa so Depencier says the renos fell within a three-hour radius of the city. The show airs Thursday, June 4, at 9:30pm.
