Fundraising For Training Facility

Emergency services in Chatham-Kent are teaming up to raise money for a state-of-the-art emergency training complex.

Fire Chief Ken Stuebing says they've already reached an agreement with St. Clair College to build the facility on its campus.

"It's really a win-win situation," says Stuebing. "It allows the emergency services and our allied partners to work with St. Clair College to build something that, not only can train you from the time you decide to go into a career, but to maintain that career."

CK Sirens for Community Safety is up for one of six $25,000 "Together We Strive" grants from Cargill. Voting for the grant is open until Tuesday, June 30, and you can vote once per day. To vote, click here.
