Worst Roads Campaign Wraps Up

Tecumseh Rd. E in Windsor and Baldoon Rd. W in Chatham-Kent are both among the Top 5 worst roads in southwestern Ontario.

That's according to the CAA's latest "Worst Roads" campaign, which uses submissions from the public to determine the worst roads in the province.

"Primarily what we've seen with all the roads that have hit the number one spot in each region is potholes," says Elliott Silverstein with CAA South Central Ontario, adding they'll be bringing this information to both municipal and provincial officials. "We've seen a number of roads that may have been scheduled for repairs five to seven years down the road expedited to be completed in one to three years in some cases."

Windsor's Tecumseh Rd. E was the worst, while Chatham-Kent's Baldoon Rd. was second, and Wyandotte St. E in Windsor came in fifth.

This is the first year the "CAA Worst Roads" campaign has been broken down into separate regional lists across Ontario.
