An outstanding warrant has landed a Chatham man in jail.

A warrant was issued for the 26-year-old last night for breaching the conditions of his bail.

He was taken into custody around 1:30am Tuesday morning on King St. E in Chatham and released with conditions pending a future court date.

A Chatham woman is facing charges after an e-bike went missing.

Chatham-Kent police received the call around 8pm last night and located the stolen e-bike on Park St.

The 32-year-old is charged with possession of property obtained by crime and released with conditions pending a future court date.

An 18-year-old is in custody after running from police.

The suspect was ordered not to contact a specific Chatham woman as a part of his probation in relation to a domestic incident in November of 2014.

Last night around 11pm, the man knocked on her door but fled before officers arrived.

He was located at a nearby variety store and took off running but was arrested following a short foot pursuit.

The Chatham branch of the OSPCA is missing $500 worth of dog food, taken sometime Sunday night or Monday morning.

Police say the suspect forced their way into a fenced compound on Park Ave. E in Chatham.

Damage is pegged at $8,000 following a two-vehicle crash in Chatham.

The accident happened around 6:30pm last night on Grand Ave. E near Taylor Ave., with minor injuries reported.

Police have charged a 19-year-old Chatham man with careless driving.
