Key Chain Campaign Helps Amputees

You will soon receive a War Amps key chain in your mailbox, a small item that makes a big difference for many children.

James Jordan was born without an arm and War Amps helped provide him with an artificial limb.

Now Jordan works for the organization, helping other kids with an experience that changed his life. "My parents, they had no idea what to do, having an amputee child and they were told to contact The War Amps," says Jordan. "Soon after I was enrolled in The War Amps Child Amputee Champ Program and I never looked back. They provided me with the tools I needed to live a normal, active life."

War Amps key chains act as a lost key return service. The organization asks for a donation in return, but it's not mandatory. Jordan says more than 90% of the money collected goes toward helping amputees.

He says it's inspiring to see how War Amps can completely change a child's life. "Some of these kids are born without two legs below the knee and they're getting up on their new running legs," says Jordan. "Thanks to The War Amps providing them with that financial assistance they're out and running."

"I see these kids and they want to race me and they're faster than I am and I have two legs," he says.
