The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority has issued a flood warning with watercourses responding to warmer temperatures over the last few days.
Officials say McGregor Creek rose rapidly Saturday evening and is now operating in the Indian-McGregor Creek Diversion Channel. Indian Creek is still within its banks as of Sunday morning.
The conservation authority doesn't anticipate the Thames River to flood over the next few days, but conditions can change rapidly. Ice cover on the Thames has degraded further, and it's no longer safe to access the river for recreational activities.
The LTVCA expects the warning to be in effect until Tuesday unless otherwise indicated.
