OPP Makes Highway Drug Arrest

After noticing a vehicle pulled over on the shoulder of Hwy. 401, Chatham-Kent OPP says officers stopped to check on the occupants and smelled marijuana.

Police say it happened Thursday just before midnight on Hwy. 401 near Merlin Rd.

After searching the vehicle police say they seized 19g of suspected marijuana and 160 oxycodone pills.

The 23-year-old male driver and 18-year-old female passenger, both from Windsor, have been charged with two counts of drug trafficking.
