Essex jumped out to a 4-0 lead and never looked back in sweeping the Kings in four straight.
Tyler Turner had two goals and an assist as the 73's took advantage of a rough game to go 2-for-13 on the power play.
Dede Cato and Dillon Liberty scored the Kings lone goals.
Essex will face the winner of the Amherstburg Admirals/Blenheim Blades series.
