Victim Services Helping Community Recover

Windsor-Essex continues to pick itself up after the gruesome murder of soon-to-be-mother Cassandra Kaake.

Executive Director of Victim Services of Windsor and Essex County Tracy Bellaire says it's been noticeably tough for the community since the December incident, but she's hopeful the arrest of suspect Matthew Brush will make people feel better. "I think just knowing that the police have worked so hard on this case, they've put in so much work, many hours, many resources, and I think it's a successful outcome," explains Bellaire.

Victim services helps to connect people with community resources, whether it be counselling or a crisis centre.

Bellaire says you don't have to be a member of the Kaake family to call and get help dealing with this situation.
