Chatham-Kent's CAO hopes administration's latest investigation into an OHL-sized arena doesn't fall through the cracks.
Administration raised the idea of investigating the potential for an OHL team back in 2013, but Chatham-Kent Council didn't pursue the motion further.
Shropshire doesn't anticipate the issue fading away. "[We'll] talk with council members, talk with the community stakeholders and say 'what's important for our community? What do we want to invest in? What are we prepared to invest given all the other priorities we also have.'"
After budget talks, Shropshire will ask council if it wants to research the potential for a new rink for when OHL teams come knocking.
