Blades Double Lakers, 73's Edge Kings

The Blenheim Blades downed the Wallaceburg Lakers 6-3 on Wednesday.

During the game, the Blades took a 2-0 lead in the first and extended it to a 5-2 lead in the second. Both teams scored once in the final 20 minutes, sealing Blenheim's victory over Wallaceburg.

Teddy McGeen scored a hat trick for the Blades, with Tyler Boughner, Dylan Smith and Dylan Muzzatti scoring one each.  Ryan Gruszka, Jeff Brown and Mike Kindrachuk each scored one for Wallaceburg.

Meanwhile, the Essex 73's went to a shootout to get by the Dresden Kings 5-4.

Jordan Ryan scored the shootout winner after four rounds. Daniel McIntrye had two goals and an assist in regulation for the 73's. Derek Daly led Dresden with two goals.
