Students Organize Clothing Donation Drive

The Grade 7/8 class at Merlin Area Public School is working together to lend a hand to people in need this holiday season.

Grade 8 student Noah Hills says their clothing drive started with a class project where they were trying to find out how they could help the less fortunate.

"We found a number of solutions to help homeless men and women in Chatham-Kent," says Hills. "We want to give them new winter hats and mittens for the cold, and we want to help the unemployed and underemployed get a job by donating lightly used dress clothes for women and men so they look respectful when they're going in for an interview."

Donations are being accepted at Merlin Area Public School between 9am and 3:30pm from December 15 to the 17.
