Canada's Outdoor Farm Show will have more of a permanent home with the proposed sale of part of the Woodstock site as the city, the Province and Glacier FarmMedia working together towards ensuring the long-term success and viability of the event.
And part of it is the proposed sale of part of the Woodstock Research Station that will also support future investments and economic activities.
Currently, Glacier FarmMedia leases part of the Woodstock Research Station property for the purpose of operating Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show each year.
But new plans with the transaction with Glacier FarmMedia includes creating a sustainability and soil health centre that will bring industry, government, research and farmer organizations together.

"The goal will be to bring the agriculture community together under one roof. And to share, communicate and decimate information on the importance of the sustainability issue and soil health," said Willcox during the news conference via Zoom.
The Discovery Farm will also be a mechanism to build a stronger rural and urban connection with a student demonstration farm on the site.
The deal is for 100 acres but financial numbers weren't released.
