Ontario Pork (CNW Group/Ontario Pork)There are two new PED cases and both are at farms in the local area.
The cases were confirmed on April 3, one at a nursery farm in Huron County and the other at a farrow-to-wean farm in Perth County.
These are the first two cases of PED in the province since a lab confirmed case on January 18 in Oxford County.
The last PED case in the local area was confirmed in Huron County in November of last year.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
