Research Project At Guelph Camps To Support Agriculture

The Ontario Agricultural College at the University of Guelph is getting $25,000 to study current and future human resource needs in the province's agriculture and agri-food sectors.

The money is coming from Farm Credit Canada.

It's part of a $225,000 pot to help research projects.

The study at Guelph will also help design teaching and training programs that serve the industry.

Money is also going to the Livestock and Forage Centre of Excellence at the University of Saskatchewan to help fund construction of a livestock and food building for the advancement of forage and cattle production.

And money is going to a school in Nova Scotia to support the development of a new Student Learning Commons.
