Rabies cases in Ontario jumped in August.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency updated its numbers to include samples that were submitted in August.
In Ontario, 346 samples were submitted and a total of 19 rabies cases were found.
That is the highest number of the year in both submitted samples and cases.
So far in 2017 there is a total of 107 rabies cases in Ontario with the majority of them racoon.
Skunks are second on the list and there are 4 bovine cases of rabies this year but none confirmed since February.
