Canadian And Bruce County Plowing Winners

Organizers were happy with the Canadian Plowing Match held north of Walkerton.

In the Senior Reversible category, Francis Sach of BC earned top honours and in the Senior Convenctional it was Eric Ferguson of Sunderland, ON coming out on top.

In the Junior category, Hunter Chown of Wolfe Island, ON, near Kingston, won.

The Bruce County Plowing match was also held in at the same time.

The winners:

Class 1 Horse Plown Under 18 - Huron's Jordan Shortreed was the only competitor.

Class 2 Horse Plow - Scott Thomas of Bruce County

Class 3 Horse Sulky Plow - Dan Gorrill of Victoria

Class 4 Under 15 Open - Meghan Cameron of Grey County

Class 5 - Bruce County Under 15 - Curtis Lotton

Class 6 - Bruce County Open Tractor Plows - Trent Ferris

Class 7 - 2 Furrow IPM Competitors - Bert Beyens of Middlesex

Class 8 - Tractor Open 3 Furrow Plows - Steve Ferris of Bruce County

Class 12 A - Antique Trail Plows - Kieth Robinson from Simcoe

12 A Junior - Austin Borth of Huron County

Class 12 B - Antique Mounted Plows - Don Nunnikhoven  from Wellington

The Queen of the Furrow was also chosen and that was Laura Fullerton of Paisley.
