The Canadian Agri-Food Policy Institute has a new CEO, who is calling for a new strategic plan. Dr. Donald Buckingham was the Chair of Canada's Agricultural Review Tribunal for eight years prior to taking the new position, and addressed an international conference on law and food in Lyon, France yesterday. Buckingham says C-A-P-I's new strategic direction should unlock the growth potential of Canadian agri-food, while responding to the need for advancing sustainable environmental practice and improving farm income.
