Stratford Agriculture Wall Of Fame

The Stratford Perth Museum Agriculture Wall of Fame has announced it's 2017 inductees.

Tom Graham, an Ottawa native who is remembered for his relentless drive to establish supply management, which has made the feather and dairy industries the power house in agricultural that it is today.

Linda Weitzel of Tavistock has been working to provide safe child care during farming seasons and a nurturing environment for farming families through her work with the "Perth County Women for the Support of Agriculture" group, which conducted a survey in 1988 to identify the need for rural child care in Perth County. She's also active with the Women's Shelter as well as the Zion Lutheran Church in Stratford.

Gary West from near Shakespeare, who has been a member of the Stratford and District Agricultural Society since 2000, including as president. He's also been an integral part of the fall fair, the "Farm to You" program, as well as the funraising campaign for the AgriPlex.

This is the fourth year for the Agriculture Wall of Fame, which recognizes the contributions made to agriculture and the communities of Perth County.
