Millions of acres of wheat will be replaced with soybeans in the U.S. as growing grain won't be profitable this season.
That report is coming from the U.S. Department of Agriculture as wheat acres will be the lowest on record this year at 46.1 million acres. Soybean planting will climb to 89.5 million acres, a record high.
According to the USDA, there is a global stockpile of wheat including 1 billion bushels in the wheat storage in states.
And while soybean production has climbed, it remains a hot commodity around the world including China where soybean meal feeds pigs, cows and fish.
