The Canadian Cattlemen's Association is pleased to hear that the 11 remaining countries involved with the Trans-Pacific Partnership continued dialoguing on the deal last week in Chile.
CCA applauds the progress, noting it shows a strong signal that the TPP in some form remains very much in play.
The group says it's important as the process moves forward that the deal benefits all sides, including small business owners and the 65,000 beef producers in Canada.
It also feels the terms agreed to under the agreement should enable access for Canadian products to new markets, generating more revenue for farmers and all involved in the food value chain.
