The Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs is doing its part to make sure farmers across the province don't miss out on the chance for funding on-farm improvements.
A new intake opportunity has been added for applications to get in on the final year of the Growing Forward 2 Program.
The Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association says, while demand has been high, it's important all farmers have the time they need and the chance to apply.
The intake dates are from February 3rd to the 23rd, the newly added April 4th to the 18th, and May 12th to June 1st.
The association points out that Growing Forward 2 has previously supported multi-year projects, but this year, initiatives will need to wrapped up by December 15th.
OMAFRA feels summing up applications by the first of June should give producers the time they need to complete projects by end of the year.
