CDC Has New Commissioner

The Canadian Dairy Commission has announced a new leader.

Jennifer Hayes is now the Commissioner of the organization as a third generation dairy farmer from eastern Quebec.

Federal Agriculture Minister Lawrence MacAulay made the announcement yesterday. He feels Hayes will bring both energy and talent to the Dairy Commission.

He says her experience and commitment to the industry can serve as a model for young women aspiring for a career in agriculture.

Hayes has an MBA from Concordia University and has extensive government experience as member of the UPA (L'Union des Producteurs Agricoles) in Quebec.
