Building on the success of his 365 farm pics in 365 days social media campaign last year, Andrew Campbell is getting ready for a new project in 2017 - 52 farms in 52 weeks.
The Strathroy-area farmer says he was surprised by the interest people took in seeing where their food came from in his first effort.
His goal now is to show off what other producers in Ontario's wide variety of farms have to offer.
Campbell wasn't sure how he'd be able to reach 52 farms in 2017, but after announcing the project last week, he found the support to be overwhelming.
"That's probably the coolest part about it. I dream up an idea like this and I think, 'Let's hope that maybe somebody beyond my mother watches it and gives this a go,'" says the owner of Bellson Farms.
"You post and hope that maybe a few people will be interested and then suddenly you go in that territory where I realize I can do this, I can find enough farms to visit and I can find enough to let me go in with my camera and do all of that."
Campbell says his list for the year is already nearly complete and includes beef, dairy, and pig farms as well as apiaries, greenhouse vegetable and fish farms.
