4-H Ontario Gets Continued Government Support

The provincial government is committed to another five years of providing support to 4-H Ontario.

Yesterday at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Jeff Leal announced $3.5 million would go to leadership programs and community based education over the next five years.

Minister Leal says the government is proud to support such a dynamic organization.

He adds 4-H has done well to build future leaders and preparing its members for successful employment in the agri-food sector.

4-H Ontario Council President Tammy Oswick-Kearney says the organization is grateful for the continued support.

Last year, more than 7,600 Ontarians participated in 4-H activities.
