Hydro One Ready To Address Stray Voltage Issues

Hydro One's new Farm Rapid Response Team is looking to address uncontrolled electricity issues.

They note stray voltage and current can negatively affect the welfare and productivity of cattle, swine and poultry.

The company says if producers have noticed animals that are not doing so well, and have ruled out other sickness and nutrition issues, they may be experiencing stray voltage issues.

Research has shown many issues in pigs.

Slow growth, feet and leg problems, higher stillbirths and extended gestations have all be documented as results of uncontrolled electricity.

The team says if you feel you may have an issue, you can call the Farm Rapid Response Team, Monday to Friday between 8:30 and 4, at 1-888-405-3778.

Emails can also be sent to FarmResponse@HydroOne.com.
