Last week's World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates report put out by the USDA had little good news for farmers.
Cattle, hog, broiler, and turkey prices were all forecast down for the final quarter of 2016.
The department says that's due to large current supplies of each product.
The USDA has had to adjust it's pork and beef projections upwards as slaughters this fall have been record-high for this time of year.
It also notes that pressure is likely to continue on prices through 2017 as livestock supplies are expected to remain high.
American egg price estimates are also reduced for next year as the number of egg-laying chickens is on the rise.
Milk prices south of the border are also expected to be down as production forecasts for 2017 are higher than previously figured.
